Description Julius Caesar AR Denarius with Certificate of Authenticity This silver denarius of Julius Caesar issued during the Civil War period (48-47 B.C.) measures 18 mm in diameter and weighs 3.71 grams. Includes Certificate of Authenticity from ancient coin expert David R. Sear. Obverse: Diademed female head facing right, with numeral LII behind. Reverse: Trophy of Gallic arms, horned helmet, oval shield and carnyx, axe and animal's head, CAE-SAR across lower field. References: Crawford 452/2, Sydenham 1009, BMCRR 3955 Grade: Nearly EF, flan a little irregular and obverse off-center.
