                                Description

     This Roman colonial coin is from Alexandria Troas (Troy). The
     obverse shows the city goddess with a turreted crown/the reverse
     depicts a horse grazing with the inscription "COL AUG" around and
     "TRO" in exergue. Roman colonial coins were minted by cities that
     were granted semi-autonomy and these coins form an interesting
     group to collect.
