                        tetradrachm (17.22 gm).

                        KINGDOM OF THRACE. Lysimachus (323-281 BC). Silver 
                        tetradrachm (17.22 gm). Uncertain mint, posthumous 
                        issue, before 225 BC. Diademed head of deified Alexander 
                        right, with horn of Ammon / BASILEWS LUSIMACOU, Athena 
                        enthroned left, holding Nike on extended right hand and 
                        resting left elbow on shield propped against throne, 
                        MHTO monogram in inner left field, KI monogram in 
                        exergue. Cf. MŸller 503-505. With a highly unusual 
                        portrait, which bears a resemblance to Ptolemy I of 
                        Egypt. Extremely fine
