350.  THRACE, Abdera. Circa 540/35-520/15 BC.  AR Drachm (3.63 gm). Griffin
seated left, raising paw  / Quadripartite incuse square. Cf. May 20. Toned,
good VF,  some light reverse porosity. Only  two specimens recorded by May!

This coin appears to be of finer style and detail than that described as
May 20 (which is not illustrated), however the style matches other coins of
May’s Period I more closely than those of Period II. Also, the rough and
irregular incuse square would indicate the earlier period.
