nymph Larissa  facing slightly left / Horse standing  right, about to roll;
LARIS  above, AIWN  in exergue. Cf.  Herrmann pl.  V, 18 (diobol);  cf. SNG
Copenhagen 132 (diobol). VF. ($200)

This coin is extremely heavy for a diobol, which weigh on average between
2.2 and 2.3 grams. Herrmann (pg. 42, fn. 1), records a specimen in Hirsch
XXIX, 338 weighing 2.95 grams but says that the weight must be in error, as
one must consider these to be diobols. The major catalogues are not
consistent, calling coins of widely varying weights (none as heavy as this
coin) either hemidrachms or diobols.
