     An AE 19 of Antioch, Syria struck during 53/52 BC.

     Condition: F-VF.

     Obv. Laureate head of Zeus right.

     Rev. Zeus seated left, holding Nike who crowns him; in exergue, date
     DI = Year 14 Pompeian Era = 53/52 BC.

     When Pompey annexed Syria as part of the Roman Empire, the existing
     bronze coinage of Antioch continued unchanged, except for a new
     dating system keyed to the annexation.
