  Persephone left; corn ear behind / Charioteer driving biga right; star above.

  patina. Estimate $100.



  Opinion remains divided as to the proper placement of the Persephone / Biga and
  Persephone / Torch types. Various references have attributed them to the end of the
  reign of Agathokles, the short-lived 4th Republic between 289-287 BC, or the rule of
  Hiketas that followed.
