            SICILY. Selinus. Ca. 540–510 BC. Silver didrachm (8.37 gm). Selinon 
            leaf flanked by two pellets, stem ornamented with facing panther’s 
            head / Square incuse divided by four lines into eight triangular 
            segments, one filled. Arnold-Biucchi, ANSMN 33 (1988), pl. 3, 30 
            (same obverse die and incuse punch). Leu 38, 13 May 1986, lot 28 
            (same obverse die). Cf. SNG ANS 666 (with earlier form of incuse). 
            Extremely desirable type. Mint state.
