SELEUCID KINGDOM. Seleucus I Nicator (312–281 BC). AR 
tetradrachm (16.92 gm). Seleucia on the Tigris, first 
workshop, from ca. 300 BC. Head of young Heracles right 
in lion skin headdress / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΕΛΕUΚΟΥ, Zeus 
enthroned left, supporting eagle on extended right hand 
and resting left on scepter, MHPA monogram in left 
field, ΔΙ monogram under throne. SC 117.1b. ESM 4. A few 
light scratches to the left of scepter on reverse. 
Toned. Very fine
