Description [Image] OFFERS a superb tetradrachm of Antiochos VII, who reigned 138-129 B.C. The obverse portrays his diademned head right. Note the absence of wear on the high points. The reverse depicts Athena standing left, holding a small figure of Nike in her right hand. Her left hand holds a scepter and rests on a shield, upon which can be seen a human face. Again, no wear is evident. David Sear wrote that Antiochos VII, "almost alone amongst the later Seleukid monarchs,... ruled with competency and integrity." He was killed in battle against the Parthians. The coin is guaranteed to be authentic and as-described, without time limit. U.S. customers add $6.00 to the winning bid for postage/insurance. Shipments to non -U.S. customers are at their own risk, and cost thereof will be negotiated by post-auction e-mail. All payment instruments must be in USD and payable at a US bank. Money orders/cashier's checks result in immediate shipment, as do personal checks of persons with a substantial and unblemished eBay feedback profile. For personal checks of persons unknown to me, or with little, or adverse, eBay feedback, allow seven business days for checks to clear prior to shipment.
