Antiochus IV Epiphanes from the Phoenician mint of Byblos (Gebal). Obv.
Diademed and radiate head of Antiochus IV. BASILEWS ANTIOXOY. CSE 696 (this
coin!) ex Houghton collection. Rev. Six winged Kronos (El of Byblos)
standing l. holding scepter. The Phoenician inscription reads "Of Gebal the
holy." Very fine example with exceptional Greek obverse inscription! A nice
coin of this well known king from Biblical history.
