                        SELEUCID KINGDOM: Antiochus II Theos. (261-246 BC). AR 
                        tetradrachm (16.85 gm).

                        Perhaps Lampsacus. Diademed head of Antiochus II right / 
                        Apollo seated left on omphalos, examining arrow and 
                        resting hand on grounded bow, IS in inner left field, SW 
                        in exergue. Variant of SC 486.2a and WSM 1539. Extremely 
                        rare: An unpublished variant and with an unusual 
                        portrait. Struck a little softly on reverse, otherwise 
                        nearly extremely fine 
                        Estimated Value: $ 2,500
