ISLANDS off CARIA, RHODES, AR TRIHEMIOBOL c. 333-301 BC. Head of 
Helios facing, turned slightly to the right/Rose with bud in incuse 
square. 12.46 mm. 1.29 gm. VF, with lovely iridescent obverse and 
old toning. 
              
The god appears to be staring pensively into the distance and has a 
surprisingly human expression, quite unlike the more severe god-like 
heads on some pieces, or the overly baroque heads on others.               12_0053
