RPC, following Grueber and Bahrfeldt (who later recanted), tentatively places this issue at the "town of Cephallenia" but there was no town of this name on the island. It must relate to the island as a whole. The monogram of this type is not so different than that on issues which RPC attributes to Kranion (cf. RPC 1360-1361).
