"Tarsos  mint". Helmeted  head of  Athena right,  serpent on helmet  / Nike
standing  left, holding  wreath  and stylis;  monogram below  left  wing, X
right. Newell 37 note,  pl. xviii, 15 (same dies). Good VF, slightly double
struck. ($2000)

Newell lists 5 specimens of this variety that he calls "a curious little
category of staters....they must be barbarous imitations of no. 37."
