Newell 64, pl. vi, 13 (same obverse die). Extremely rare. Nearly extremely fine Newell noted that at the probable time of issue of this coin, Demetrius was mustering his fleet at the Thracian Chersonesus and campaigning against Lysimachus. Newell thus proposed a mint in the general region of the Propontis, specifically naming Abydus, a possession of Demetrius. Lysimachus besieged Abydus, but Demetrius relieved the city by sea and Lysimachus withdrew (Diodorus 20.107.2-3).
