(Alexander as?) Hercules right, wearing lion skin, knotted at base. /
ALEX[ANDPOY] Zeus seated left, legs uncrossed, holding eagle and scepter, M
before, monogram below throne. Price 3604. VF, good style obverse typical
of Babylon mint, test cuts in rim.

Lifetime issue. The
style and monograms on this coin are shared by the dekadrachms of
Alexander. Both were probably produced by the same skilled engraver,
perhaps in relation to the mass-wedding of Alexander's men.
