     Silver Tetradrachm of Alexander the Great, Mesembria, Thrace,
     3rd-2nd century BC. Broad, flat fabric, struck in good relief,
     some reverse and edge encrustation.

     Obverse: Head of Herakles (some say Alex)wearing lion skin
     headdress
     Reverse: Zeus, seated, holding scepter and eagle. Helmet and MA
     monogram in field, l.
