Ancient Coinage of Macedonia, Kings, Adaeus


Adaeus was King of Thraco-Macedonia ca. 250-200 BC. Many of his coins have been unearthed in Maronea, Thrace. According to ancient sources he was captured in battle and put to death by Ptolemy III Euergetes, ca. 230 BC.
