LUCANIA, Velia. Circa 334-300 BC. AR Nomos 
(21mm, 7.50 g). Obverse and reverse dies signed 
by Kleudoros. Head of Athena facing slightly 
left, wearing winged and crested Phrygian 
helmet, KLEUDWROU signed on front of bowl / Lion 
standing left, devouring prey; monogram (of 
Kleudoros) between legs. Williams, Velia 334 
(O175/R246); SNG ANS 1331 (same dies); De 
Nanteuil 196 (same dies); HN Italy 1295. Fine, 
toned.
