LUCANIA. Thurium. Ca. 443-400 BC. Silver stater (7.92 gm). Head of 
Athena right in crested Attic helmet adorned with olive wreath on 
bowl and ivy vine on neckpiece / ÈOÕÑIÙN, bull butting right, tiny A 
on hindquarters, Ã beneath raised foreleg (off flan). SNG ANS 882 
(same dies). HN Italy 1759. Exceptionally sharp strike; the top of 
bull’s head and the tip of Athena’s nose off flan. Good very fine.
