                  winged thunderbolt at right.

                  Diameter 15mm
                  Reference A. Johnson, “The Bronze Coinage of Metapontum”, 
                  Kraay-Morkholm Essays p. 123,39; HN Italy 1674; SNG ANS 603. 
                  Grade VF, medium brown, photo  exaggerates roughness on 
                  reverse. Much nicer in hand.
                  Comments Ex- John Lavender at $395, his tag included. A 
                  similar specimen brought a winning bid of $625 in CNG Triton V 
                  (Lot 65).
