            helmet / ΠΡΙΗΝΕ, magistrate ΑΠΟΛΛΟΔ, legend in two lines within 
            maeander pattern circle.  SNG Cop 1093.  See Regling, Die Münzen von 
            Priene, 116; SNG Copenhagen 1087 var. (magistrate); BMC Ionia pg. 
            230-231, 13ff var. (same); SNG von Aulock -; Laffaille 482 var. (var 
            Æ 12mm). 3.1 gm.  aVF overall. Light green patina with embedded 
            earth and some encrustation; slightly off-center strike. Excellent 
            reverse detail. 
              
            RARE. 
              
            At Classical Numismatic Group’s Triton V Auction on January 15th, 
            2002 an Æ 12 variant of this issue sold for $175 as lot 478.
