Ancient Coinage of Cilicia, Titiopolis


Modern-day Anamur, Turkey (4 km from the town centre) where many remains can be seen. Struck AE coins for Domitian, then from Antoninus Pius to Plautilla. The first mention of the city was in Ferrari's Novum lexicon geographicum in 1694.
