CARIA. Pixodarus. (341–336 BC). Silver didrachm (6.65 gm). Laureate 
head of Apollo inclined slightly to right, himation with brooch at 
neck truncation / [Ð]IÎOÄAÑOÕ, Zeus of Labraunda standing right, 
holding spear in left hand and double-bladed axe over right 
shoulder. SNG von Aulock 2375. Very attractive obverse die, not 
represented in Konuk, “Pixodarus Hoard,” CH IX, pp. 223–229, pl. 
34–35. Areas of somewhat granular surface, especially on reverse. 
Good very fine.
