                        DYNASTS OF CARIA. Mausolus (377–353 BC). AR drachm (3.42 
                        gm). Laureate bust of Apollo three-quarters right, 
                        chlamys fastened at neck / ΜΑΥΣΣΩΛΛΟ, Zeus of Labraunda 
                        standing right, holding double-bladed axe over right 
                        shoulder and resting left hand on inverted spear, wreath 
                        in left field. SNG Kayhan 877 (same obverse die). SNG 
                        von Aulock 2365. Scratches under dark tone. Nearly very 
                        fine

                        Athena Galleries, June 1961.
