CALABRIA, Tarentum. Ca. 235-228 BC. Silver nomos (6.45 gm). Mature 
horseman riding left, raising right hand, cloak flying behind him, 
TPK monogram and pilos in right field, magistrate’s name ÎE—NOKÑA / 
TH—Ó under horse’s raised foreleg and belly / [TA]ÑAÓ, Taras astride 
dolphin left above line of waves, holding trident with right hand 
and drapery with left, ÓÙ monogram in right field, cuttlefish to 
right of waves. SNG ANS 1256. Vlasto 959. Exceptionally beautiful 
type. Reverse very sharply struck. Mint state.
