CALABRIA. Tarentum. Ca. 235–228 BC. Silver nomos (6.37 gm). Nude 
jockey on horseback right, crowning prancing mount, APNP monogram 
behind jockey, ËE monogram before horse, under its belly 
magistrate’s name ÖIËO / KËHÓ above dolphin right / TAÑAÓ, Taras 
astride dolphin left, holding rhyton in extended right hand and 
trident over left shoulder, two amphorae in right field. SNG ANS 
1254. Vlasto 950–953. Lustrous with golden toning. Nearly mint 
state.
