CALABRIA. Tarentum. Ca. 290–281 BC. AR nomos (7.81 gm). 
Nude ephebus on horse rearing right, spearing downward 
with right hand and holding round shield and two spare 
javelins in left, ΣΑ under horse / ΤΑΡΑΣ, Taras astride 
dolphin left, extending right hand and holding distaff 
in left, pellet in left field, prow left below. 
Fischer-Bossert Group 80, 1129 (V418/R871). Cf. SNG ANS 
985–986. Vlasto 586–587. Edge split. Obverse slightly 
off center. Lovely iridescent tone. Good very fine
