                              KINGS of BAKTRIA. Antimachos I. Circa 174-165 BC. 
                              AR Tetradrachm (16.94 gm, 12h). Diademed and 
                              draped bust right, wearing petasos; filleted 
                              border / BASILEWS QEOU ANTIMACOS, Poseidon, 
                              laureate, standing facing, holding trident in his 
                              right hand, filleted palm in his left; monogram in 
                              inner left field. Bopearachchi Série 1A var. 
                              (pelleted border); SNG ANS 274 var. (same); MIG 
                              Type 124f var. (same); MACW 1656 var. (same). EF, 
                              soft obverse strike. Extremely rare with a 
                              filleted border. ($1500)

                              The only published specimen of an Antimachos 
                              tetradrachm with a filleted obverse border is coin 
                              98 in the Qunduz Hoard, of the same type, but with 
                              a different monogram.
