ANAKTORION: Anonymous, ca. 350 BC, AR stater (8.2g), 
Akarnania. BMC 27. Corinthian style, Pegasos flying left, AN 
below / head of Athena left with Corinthian helmet over 
leather cap, "AN" monogram and tripod behind head. Very nice 
example with mint luster in the protected areas. Interesting 
reverse die deterioration gives effect that the tripod is 
smoking. This is an excellent example the Athena reverse die, 
22.4 mm; Die axis 12.0, EF.
