Head of Amazon Cyme right, wearing hairband / KUMAIWN,, horse walking right, left foreleg raised above eagle standing right on thunderbolt, one-handled cup on ground beneath horse, magistrate's name HRAKLEIDHS in exergue, all in laurel wreath. Oakley, ANSMN 27, 64 (same obverse die). With a large head of lovely style. Pleasingly toned. Extremely fine Ex Commander David R. Hinkle Collection. Heracleides was the only Cymean magistrate to include a subsidiary symbol on his coinage. Oakley, ANSMN 27, p. 4 noted that the eagle was one of the civic symbols, found on earlier coinage of Cyme.
