Carpathian Celts. Uncertain tribe. AR Tetradrachm imitating Thasos. 30.78 mm, 16.38 g. Ca. 50-10 BC

Obv: Greatly Celticized head of Dionysos right, wreathed 
with ivy, ivy leaves represented by dots, hair strands 
resembling  four legs beneath a dragon-like head. 
Rev: Legend degraded to dots, Herakles, degraded to a club-
like shape, naked, standing left, holding club and lion 
skin. Four patterns of a dot in circle surrounded by a 
circle of dots at upper and lower left and right.
