            Theodora. (11 January 1055 - 21 August 1056 AD). Lead Seal (39.06 
            gm). . +EMMA—NOVHË, bust of Christ Emmanuel, bearded, facing; has 
            nimbus cruciger with design of five dots in each limb of cross; 
            wears chiton and himation; right hand half-raised before right 
            shoulder in benediction; left holds book of the Gospels with jeweled 
            cover; in field left and right, IC and XC; border of dots / +ÈEOÄWPA 
            AVÃ—OV—CTA H ÄOVË, bust of Theodora, facing; wears crown with 
            pendants and three triangular projections, chiton with high jeweled 
            collar, divitision, circular shoulder-piece and loros; right holds 
            scepter with trefoil top; left hand is half lifted before chest in 
            supplication; border of dots. Zacos, plate 22, 82a. Glossy 
            undisturbed beige and tan patina. Wonderful portrait of the empress. 
            Extremely fine.
