Browsing Byzantine Coinage of Michael VII
Michael VII, Ducas (ruled 1071-1078) was the eldest son of Constantine X and Eudocia. He had little interest in politics and lost Asia Minor to the Turks. Michael retired to a monastery when General Nicephorus led a rebellion against him.
