(1294-1320 AD). Silver basilicon (2.13 gm). Constantinople, c. 
1304-1320. Christ seated facing on high-backed throne, his right 
hand raised in benediction, his left resting beside head, IC XC with 
lines above / Virgin seated on high-backed throne, holding seated 
Christ-child on her left arm, MP – ÈV with lines above flanking her 
head, throne flanked by a retrograde B and B, dotted border. DO 544. 
Sear 2587. Edge chip. Good very fine.
