Obv. + ALEXANDER D G GRA, crowned bust left, holding scepter. Rev. REX
SCOTORVM +, long cross with a star in each angle. The coin is toned gray,
darker in places, with a small chip missing. Legends are complete, except
for the chip, with some light porosity. The portrait shows good detail.
Alexander ended his prosperous reign at the age of 44 when he rode his
horse off the edge of a cliff in darkness.
