Sale 31: The Pre-Long Beach Auction May 30 - June 1, 2005
             

             
            Lot 2209Great Britain. Halfpenny, 1673. S.3393. Charles II. Very 
            slight luster traces. This was minted in the second year of 
            halfpenny production in the reign of King Charles II. Although the 
            proof halfpennies were of fine workmanship, the currency coins were 
            generally poorly made and struck off-center with areas of weakness. 
            Overall, this is a well produced coin which had escaped circulation. 
            Rare this nice. NGC graded MS-64 Brown. 
            Estimated Value $1,400-1,700.
