                                Description

England, Richard II, 1377-1399, AR Halfpenny (13mm) (0.45 grams), F+,
Spink/Seaby 1700, Withers Type 2, London mint. Obv. + RICARD'xREX AnGL?,
crowned bust facing. Rev. CIVITAS LOnDOn, long cross with three pellets in
each angle. The coin is of fairly bright metal, on a small flan. The
portrait is nice, but weak in the mouth. Very little of the obverse legend
is present, but the bottom parts of R and I are clear. The reverse legend
is about 1/2 present, and the letters have fishtail serifs.
