Teres is known for helping unite the Kingdom of Thrace, and his wars with the Macedonians, After Teres' death his sons Sparadokos and Sitalkes inherited the throne in turn, then came his nephew Seuthes I whose main political goal was to conquer the Thracian Chersonesos. After Medokos and Hebryzelmios who followed that line, Kotys I (383-359 B.C.) came on the throne and the kingdom reached its apogee.
