Philip III Arrhidaeus was the weak-minded half brother of Alexander the Great. After Alexander's death in June 10, 323 BC he was declared emperor by the Macedonian army at Babylon, but he was no match for the internal dissention as Alexander's empire fell apart. He was killed by order of Olympias in 317 BC.
