This beautiful and interesting Roman Zoomorphic Brooch is in shape of running boar,featuring running dog engraved on the body .The boar representted war and hunting,and is shown with its spiny crest erect,indicating the animal to be attaching,The fearles nature of the boar was greatly admired by the Romans. Second Century, green patina, 33 mm in length.
