This amulet is in the style of the great statue in the famous Temple of Diana at Ephesos, one of the wonders of the world, known in ancient times as the Artesium.
For comparison, above is a picture of the famous contemporary statue of Artemis... and, no, it's not for sale!
Diana was worshipped well into the Christian era, and this amulet was worn to invoke the protection of the Virgin Queen of Heaven much as images of the Virgin Mary are today.
